Our Outdoor Education program offers students a unique opportunity to connect with nature, develop essential life skills, and foster teamwork through experiential learning. Students participate in a range of activities, and field trips from hiking, camping, skiing and more all over BC.

Through a variety of sports, students not only enhance their physical fitness but also build friendships and learn valuable life skills that extend beyond the playing field while representing their school, With dedicated coaches and staff every student-athlete can thrive, both athletically and academically. 

Culinary creativity meets essential life skills! In this hands-on course, students will explore the art  of cooking, nutrition, and meal planning. From cooking techniques to understanding food safety and nutrition, this class is designed to inspire a love of cooking while equipping students with valuable skills they will carry into adulthood.

Our dynamic and inspiring environment invites students to explore their creativity through various mediums, including painting, drawing, sculpture, and digital arts. SAMS encourages self-expression and experimentation through Art. Students will learn fundamental techniques and  Art history, 

Trades offers students the opportunity to dive into exciting fields such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, culinary arts, and more! These programs not only equip students with valuable technical skills, but they also promote teamwork.

 Creating a high school yearbook involves a collaborative effort among students, faculty. It's a great way to capture memories, celebrate achievements, and document the school year. Here are some of the great things at SAMS high school yearbook class: 

 Applied Design, Skills, and Technology, is an engaging high school program that empowers students to explore their creativity through hands-on learning. Students delve into various modules such as 3D Drafting, woodworking, textiles, digital media, and robotics, and applying design thinking.

 Explore various genres, instruments, and compositional techniques. Students will engage in ensemble performances, music theory lessons, and assemblies in our community and around Canada.

Exploring Nuxalk First Nation cultures, histories, and contemporary issues in our proud Bella Coola valley with language, culture and art class. This engaging course offers students the opportunity to delve into the rich traditions of our Nuxalk territory.
